I photograph stuff…
The main building of Lund Hospital, built in 1968. It is both impressive and ugly.
Facts: In 1972 it was the only hospital in the world that had allowed patients to bring their pets during their stay! 🙂
Superb tones. What an imposing facade.
Thanks! Looks better on the picture than in real life 🙂
Impressive and ugly all at once.. interesting about the pets bit!
Yes, indeed ugly! The facts are more intresting than the building 🙂
great perspective and texture, although not having seen the colour version – I imagine B&W works best
Thanks Scott! There is no meaning to have it in color, there are no color in that building, just grayscales…
Love the lines
Yup, sure is one daunting beast. Definitely not built to Alexander’s philosophies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Alexander). I suppose it’s the novel service to patients that counts!
I dont think thay had any philosophies when building it… 🙂
I used to work in the building you see in this link – http://www.fastcompany.com/blog/william-bostwick/architecture-design/cant-make-it-green-tear-it-down It had NO redeeming features!!
Well, it has windows… Thats rallyt nice! 🙂
